December 24, 2022: CLOSED FOR WINTER HOLIDAY

Dear Students, Parents and Guardians,

RG Education will be closed from Dec 24th – Jan 3, 2023. Classes will resume on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. No classes are missed during this holiday as 5 classes were given in either October or November to cover these classes. Pre-arranged online classes will take place as scheduled.

We wish everyone a safe and happy winter holiday!

May 25, 2020: On-line Classes Available + COVID-19 UPDATE

Dear Students and Parents,

While RG Education Center is still unable to open for classes at the moment, we are happy to announce that we will be offering online classes starting in June. For more information please contact us at 416-609-9508 or info@rgeducation.com 

Online classes will help students catch up with any missed work and concepts from their grade as well a prepare them for the next grade in September!

Meanwhile, we hope everyone continues to practise physical and social distancing during this time, and is staying safe. Once we are able and ready to open our center again, we will be sure to update everyone here! We definitely look forward to seeing all of our staff and students.

March 30, 2020: COVID-19 UPDATE

In compliance with current City of Toronto regulations, RG Education will be closed indefinitely. As we are classified as a ‘non-essential business’, we will not be offering classes at our center until supplementary education centers have permission from the City to operate again. As soon as our center re-opens, we will be sure to inform all students and parents here, in our voicemail and/or by phone. Please stay tuned.

We thank all students and parents for your patience and understanding. We definitely miss seeing all of our students and teachers during this time. We hope that everyone continues to practice safety protocols and to keep your restless minds learning!

March 18, 2020: COVID-19 UPDATE

RG Education has always been committed to the success and well-being of our students and teachers. Due to the development of recent events, we have made a tough decision to extend our closure until the end of March 2020.

If we require further closure beyond March, we will make an announcement here and in our office voicemail. We encourage everyone to check back on this page before April 1, 2020 to get the latest update on our closure and re-opening of classes.

All missed classes due to closure will be pro-rated.

We recognize that students will be missing an extended period of schooling and tutor classes during this time. We encourage parents to use the resources available on the internet to locate education videos and worksheets to keep your child/children’s minds active.

March Break: CLOSED (Monday, March 16 – Sunday, March 22, 2020)

During the March Break, we will be closely monitoring the latest situation with COVID-19. Should situations require, we will inform every student regarding an extended period of closure. If conditions alleviate, classes will resume on Monday, March 23, 2020.

We encourage everyone to check back on this page before Monday, March 23, 2020 for an update on our period of closure.

August 12, 2020: REOPENING FOR ON-SITE CLASSES IN SEPTEMBER!

Dear Students and Parents,

We are happy to announce that our learning center will be reopening for on-site classes in September. In order to ensure a clean and safe learning environment for everyone, the following changes will be observed upon your next visit:

All students, parents, teacher and staff:

  • Must wear a mask when entering the learning center
  • Use hand sanitizer before entering the learning center (provided on site)
  • Will have their temperature taken before entering the learning center (Any person showing signs of coughs, runny nose, and fever/high body temperature will be sent home)

All classrooms:

  • Will be equipped with Lysol wipes and hand sanitizers
  • Will be wiped down at the end of each class (all table tops, seats, and other high-touch surfaces)
  • Will be thoroughly cleaned at the end of each day
  • Maximum class size will be reduced to 4 students (Group classes)
  • All students will be seated as far apart as possible at each table
  • Only 3 classes can occur simultaneously in the same room in one hour
  • All keyboards and mice in the computer lab will be cleaned at the end of each class
  • All piano keys and other high touch surfaces will be wiped at the end of each class

Students:

  • Are encouraged to wear a face shield (Face shields can be purchased at our center)
  • Must bring their own pencil case with at least 4 sharpened pencils, 2 erasers, and a ruler. Our center will no longer be providing shared stationery in the classroom
  • Must bring their own water in a bottle

Classes:

  • Class start times will be staggered between starting on the hour and half hour during peak hours to avoid overcrowding in elevator, hallways, and classrooms
  • Make-up classes will only be offered on-line to maintain small class sizes

Office:

  • Office space will be off-limits to parents and visitors unless otherwise invited. Office entry limited to staff, tutors and assistants
  • Debit machine will be wiped down after each use
  • Magazines in the waiting area will be removed
  • Chairs in the waiting area will be reduced by half
  • Parents of students in Grade 2 or below are encouraged to wait in the waiting area until student is finished class
  • Parents of students in Grade 3 or above are encouraged to wait in their cars, when possible, and return at the end of class for student pick up

On-line classes will still be offered to students who do not feel comfortable returning for on-site classes.
